If you are going for the achievements you earn one for every combination of three you make in-game. The game keeps track of this with an internal counter which ticks up for every combo of the like. Please note, that if you exit out of the game the counter will reset to zero meaning you'll have to do it all over again. Just strap yourself in and earn them all in one sitting. Animal Crush is, and I say this without any malice, a game that doesn't need to exist.When I received a 90% off coupon on release day, I knew something was off. The game is, in its entirety: one screen, one song, five animal shapes and a timer. You click and drag on matching animal shapes ad infinitum while the timer counts down. Clicking on combos increases the timer, but only the most insanely large combos -- or creating matches with the relexes of a squirrel with a crack habit -- will earn you more than a fraction of a second, ensuring that you never learn the game's darkest secret, that this is all there is. There is no second level. There is no victory state. There isn't even a trading card.To its credit, it does run releatively bug free. There is a glitch where if you click the "menu" button while the game is paused, clicking "Play" will start the game with a screen full of octopi and the timer frozen. From here you can click until you've had your fill, which should be about six minutes. Just take it from me that playing to see what 10,000 points looks like is pretty anti-climactic.I paid with a 90% ticket and 10 cents from trading card sales, so it essentially cost me nothing. You, my dear Steam friends, should just skip this one altogether.. I got a coupon, so this game ended up costing me $.11. It looked like a nice casual game, and it was cheap, so I figured why not. I've tried everything I could think of, and took suggestions (like running by a shortcut), but everything I tried does not work. I can run Dark Souls III (example) at max settings, but yet my Windows 7 PC can't run this game.When I hit play (or try to run it with a shortcut) nothing happens. Steam says the game is running, but nothing comes up, and nothing shows up on task manager. If I try to play it after that it says the game is already running. The only way I can get it to stop showing up as running on Steam is to shut off or restart my PC. The loss of $.11 is no big deal, but I am very annoyed that I spent so much time just to try and play this game. And I also hate having a game I can't play in my library.. This game has less content than most of the free games on Steam. Only buy it if you have a coupon or if you really hate yourself.. You get what you paid for, 2.2K achievements at minimum price. If you\u2019re an achievement hunter looking to increase the number of achievements on your profile showcase, then I highly recommend buying this. Else don\u2019t waste your money. This is not a game, it\u2019s just a way of distributing achievements.
